The cemeteries on Mont-Royal are another highlight of a good long walk on the mountain
My natural inclination is to head up Mount-Royal Park from the statue, or Monument to Sir George Étienne Cartier.
This walk was its own little adventure: mostly easy walking through beautiful, green landscapes and along the ever lovely Loch Lomond.
The West Highland Way was my introduction to long distance walking. t is a total of 151 km that typically takes around 7-8 days. However, just in case I hated it, I chose to do only four days that first time
From the most popular to the most obscure; welcome to Mile-Ex! This neighbourhood is ‘the land that time forgot’ sort-of; it is close to some of Montreal’s most interesting neighbourhoods, and has easy access to downtown via bike or public transit
Since my last trip to Scotland, there is one story that I have been rabid to tell: my cross-country excursion from the Bone Caves to the Inchnadamph Lodge in Assynt.
The Fife Coastal Path is, so far, the most accessible long-distance route I have walked; easy and flat walking, with multiple towns and villages that can make your walking day as short or long as you like.
This is classic Montreal tourist fodder, but also an area so rich in history, beauty and LIFE, I can recommend it without any irony or hesitation...
Instead of getting all descriptive on you, let me give you some tips to help you on your journey. I could do the full list but let's start with be prepared...
